What does it take to be an accredited IPEM?
Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), in partnership with Illinois Emergency Services Management Association (IESMA), has developed a program of specialized training to provide emergency managers with the skills and tools necessary to not only succeed, but to excel in the total process of emergency management.
The accredited IPEM must be renewed every three years. If requested in writing prior to the end of the three year period, a one year extension is available.
The IPEM program, established in 2001, was updated in 2005, 2007, 2009 and again in 2011. The updated program requirements are included for your convenience.
